Today's Sincerely 'Fro Me To You post is brought to you by the letter O for "OMGosh why is that baby on the counter" and the color yellow for "what the heck was the 70s thinking when they painted a kitchen appliance that horrid color"!
There I am with my hair in a kerchief at 2 years old. Why was my hair in a kerchief? I have no idea. Perhaps I wanted to look more like Aunt Jemima? Maybe I was spending the day doing hard housework?
Apparently I was trapped against my will on the counter and quite horrified. Perhaps I was just horrified about those wretched cabinets or maybe that scary mushroom canister. Who knows?
I just wanted to show off those cute little legs.

Oh you looked so cute!! I think you look like you are about to jump off the counter. :)
You look adorable, but that kitchen is downright scary. Nearly as scary as the (wait for it) PATCHWORK wallpapered AND CURTAINED goldenrod yellow kitchen that *I* had growing up! Which my parents kept until they moved out just 2 years ago! Makes me cringe just thinking about it.
Everything in that picture brings back so many memories. I don't really know if we had yellow counters when I was a kid, but a full 75% of my friends and family did. You're just adorable in the picture by the way :-)
We had chocolate colored appliances, and my grandma's were olive green...
Our kitchen was goldenrod yellow and olive green too! :) And we had mushroom cookie jars too!!
My Fro Post is There is a snake on my foot!
Yep. I remember those colors well. You look awfully cute in your Aunt Jemima Kerchief!

At least it's prettier than the brown, orange & green stoves! I think.
My mom put kerchiefs on my head as well! She always wore them over top of her rollers. I think we did it to imitate them.
Awww ~ Super cute! I remember lots of avocado colored appliances!
You are precious! Love the hair, the kitchen...
I've been tempted to set my daughter on the counter, but, well, odds aren't in our favor.
You are adorable! That kitchen is eerily like my Grandmothers old kitchen!
We had one of those horrific appliances -- only it was painted "avocado." Another lovely hue brought to us courtesy of the 70s.
I saw one of those mushroom canisters in a thrift store last week. Cute legs, cute kerchief.
it is a pretty sweet canister
I think you looked adorable! Can't say the same for the stove though.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Can't bring myself to try the castor oil, although wondering if it might be better than induction (which the my doc wants to do tomorrow morning).
Oooh, that yellow. Most of the bathrooms in the town next-door to us have toilets that color. Why -- I ask WHY?!?!!
Our kitchen had linoleum flooring that resembled BRICKS! And our appliances were a burgundy/rust color that matched the brick.
Thank God for the 80's.
You are adorable! I thought maybe you were going to show off some gymnastic moves. ;)
Aww. So very cute. You, not the kitchen so much.
soooo interesting to me how THAT yellow is coming back.
hmmm.
i think I might like it!!
Poor baby, your eyes are probably burning out from that awful yellow, that's probably why you're so upset!
Come on, that's adorable. I used to love putting my hair in a kerchief (at 2? I dunno) -- so grown-up feeling...
