Look! A Diversion!

Today's the last day Goober will have his "outie"... tomorrow he's having his surgery.

I said I wasn't worried about it.

I am.

I can't help it.

I know I'm being silly.

Today is Anne of Cleves birthday. She is my favorite of all of Henry's wives.

Of COURSE you're worried; your baby is having a medical procedure done! I'd be worried if you weren't worried. He'll be fine, I'm sure, let him milk it for some sympathy and extra attention for a day or two. Lifting you guys up in prayer!

Sending many good thoughts and a heap of virtual chocolate your way.

I get worried about a little finger prick and a blood draw at a regular old appointment. I'm a total medical wuss. if that makes you feel better.
I'm sure it will go just as smooth as possible.
Peace to you,
Heather

When my son was 5 he had surgery. My husband wanted to go into the OR with him and stay until he fell asleep. Hubby told me I could go in and be with him when he woke up. I figured this was a good plan, because I thought the OR would make me woozy, and I would enjoy some snuggle time with my sleepy guy as he came out of anesthesia.

Only...apparently anesthesia makes my son, how do you say...violent?! Instead of sleepy snuggles, I ended up wrestling the preschool version of a an angry badger.

Fun times!

Of course you are worried, that is your baby and you are a great mommy. Make sure and take something to keep your hands busy, yet that doesn't require a lot of attention span, sounds crazy, but it helps. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow. BIG HUGS for both of you!

There's nothing wrong with worrying about your kids, its natural.

Sending lots of love for today and remember, if he gets to have ice cream on the way home, that means you do to.
